Steller Jay

Hi there!
I'm purty!

"The Steller's Jay (Cyanocitta stelleri) is a jay native to western North America, closely related to the Blue Jay found in the rest of the continent, but with a black head and upper body. It is also known as the Long-crested JayMountain Jay, and Pine Jay. It is the only crested jay west of the Rocky Mountains.
The Steller's Jay shows a great deal of regional variation throughout its range. Blackish-brown-headed birds from the north gradually become bluer-headed farther south. The Steller's Jay has a more slender bill and longer legs than the Blue Jay and has a much more pronounced crest. The head is blackish-brown with light blue streaks on the forehead. This dark coloring gives way from the shoulders and lower breast to silvery blue. The primaries and tail are a rich blue with darker barring.
It occurs in coniferous forest over much of the western half of North America from Alaska in the north to northern Nicaraguacompletely replacing the Blue Jay in most of those areas. Some hybridization with the Blue Jay in Colorado has been reported. The Steller's Jay lives in coniferous and mixed woodland, but not in completely dense forest, and requires open space. It typically lives in flocks of greater than 10 individuals. In autumn, flocks often visit oak woods when acorns are ripe."-Wikipedia

I was about to fly!
I've seen a lot of these in Truckee.

Pony of the Americas

This one is bay varnish roan.

Cutie isn't he?
The Pony of the Americas (POA) is a pony breed developed in the state of Iowa in the United States. The foundation stallion was an Arabian/Appaloosa/Shetland pony cross. A breed registry was founded in 1954, and within 15 years had registered 12,500 ponies. Today, the Pony of the Americas Club is the most active, youth-oriented club in the US. Although called ponies, POAs have the phenotype of a small horse, combining mainly Arabian and American Quarter Horse attributes. The registry is open, allowing blood from many other breeds, but has strict criteria for entry, including Appaloosa coloration, specified height and other physical characteristics. Although mainly bred for Western riding, the breed has been used for many other disciplines, includingdrivingendurance riding and some English disciplines. -Wikipedia

Hamsters

I have had over 7 hamsters. Right now I am pet sitting one for my friend as my recent one has passed away.
Hamsters are often thought to be very cute and cuddly, but some are not. Like robo dwarf hamsters are very cute but the do not liked to be held. Teddy hamsters, winter white hamsters, and black bear hamsters are all nice(with some training) and like to be held. I recommend Teddy hamsters the most as they are the kindest and biggest ones (easy to find if they get out). Hamsters also do call for a lot of attention, if you don't hold one for a while they might not like it much when you do pick him/her up again. Hamsters also do stink up their cages ALOT. It might smell in your room if you don't give it a thorough cleaning at least once every two weeks. Their teeth can also get very long if you don't give them things to chew on (sticks, etc from pet store)

My Favorite Horse Breed!

The dapple gray is a common coloring in thoroughbreds.
The thoroughbred is well known for their amazing racing skills,as well, as cross-country, and eventing. Thoroughbreds were first bred in England, with Arabians, Barbs, and Turkomans. It took quite a bit of cross-breeding to have what we now have today.

Appearance:
They are well-built horses, with large heads and fine muscles, you can often see their veins.

By the way: I do not own any of these video's I am posting they are just for the learning of it! I also do not mean to advertise for anyone!

Shih Tzu

Cutest dog ever, right?
"She is too cute to be true,"

Not many know this dog, the Shih Tzu, as to be closely related to the wolf, and hard to train, but lovable companions. The pictures above the video and the second video is actually my own cute little, Imperial Toy Shih Tzu, she is not well groomed at the moment, but she soon will be, at least I hope the groomers will make her look better. Please watch the video. Comment please. Thanks!

American White Horse

The American White, is a stocky well built horse, that is always white, thin neck, started by breeding some Morgans.

My Cat

She says, "I don't care,"
This is my kitty!
Isn't she cute?
This one is not mine, but still cute.

Another superbly cute animal I found is the Ocicat, which I believe I have one myself, in fact it looks almost      identical to this one! Please watch the video, I personally liked it! The second one is my cat.

Update: I found my cat is most likely not an Ocicat, but probably a California Spangled Cat.They are closely related to the Ocicat as they are from the same breeding process, plus a British Shorthair, watch the animal planet video to understand.

This one looks just like mine, right?

Animal of the Month

The animal of the month is Beagle! They are sooo adorable!
Beagle:one of a breed of small hounds having large ears, short legs, and a usually black, tan, and white coat.
